Our web hosting upgrade formula from old to new hosting plan is simple, direct and fair and calculated from monthly credit balance. It assumes that you have credits balances in the old plan which will be deducted from the new fee balance that we owe you in the new web hosting plan.
Example you own a web hosting plan just used for an average of two months. It means that you have 10 months unused at the same time you upgraded to the premium plan of which we owe you 10 months balance in the same order (The same expiry date). We will therefore charge you the new balance – the old balance
Example
A client want to upgrade from web hosting basic plan charged at TZS. 50,000/year to the premium web hosting account charges at TZS. 90,000/year.
The calculation examples shown below:
A: Old web hosting plan balance calculation formula;
Formula description | Amount |
Months |
10 |
Basic plan annual Fee |
50,000.00 |
Fee per month = Annual fee/12 | 4,166.67 |
Total Fee = Fee/month X months |
41,666.67 |
B: New web hosting plan balance calculation formula;
Formula description | Amount |
Months |
10 |
Premium plan annual Fee |
90,000.00 |
Fee per month = Annual fee/12 | 7,500.00 |
Total Fee = Fee/month X months | 75,000.00 |
C: Other Associated Fees OAF
OAF includes but not limited to setup fee, content transfer and any other applicable fee
Let assume setup fee is TZS. 10,000/=
The actual Formula will be:
Upgrade fee (UF) = New Plan Balance (B) – Old Plan Balance (A) + Other Associated Fees (OAF)
UF = B-A+OAF
For our case
Upgrade fee = 75,000.00-41666.67 + 10,000
Upgrade fee = 43,333.33
